I would like to know what would be the best way for me to go about this

i have a product num C100000 that have components linked to them
Also product num C200000 that have components linked to them

If the user enters a prouduct number into Prodnum.text and its = C100000
i only want the items for C100000 to filter through to the dropdownlist.
